Site Updates

• [01-07-09] On Wednesday, January 7, the print quota system on resprint has been reset for the Spring semester. All Residence Hall students are allotted 1,000 pages per semester.
• [12-23-08] On Tuesday, January 5, the registration system will be reset for the Spring semester. All networking devices must be re-registered before they will be allowed to connect to the internet.
• [10-21-08] On Sunday, October 19, there was an issue with the wireless certificate being issued by the wireless authentication server. Vista machines in particular had an issue with this and were not automatically able to connect to the wireless. Networking Services took corrective action, and by late afternoon on Monday everything was working correctly again.
• [10-13-08] Missouri State University's Internet was down for maintenance while our service provider, MOREnet, upgraded their core networking equipment. This only affected connections to the Internet, which is why internal network functions were still operational. The outage was planned during their contractual maintenance period and was estimated to start and end between 12:01 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12th. However, they were able to finish ahead of schedule and the off-campus Internet link was only down between roughly 12:00 a.m. and 3:45 a.m.
• [08-19-08] The computer registration system is active for the fall semester. All computers and networked devices must be registered at the website http://resreg.missouristate.edu in order to receive full Internet access.

• [02-21-07] Cdigix will be going offline as of April 30th 2007.
• [02-07-07] The web version of Cdigix is no longer available, to continue downloading media from Cdigix you will need to download the Ctrax Media Player and contact Cdigix support for a account.
• [01-12-07] There is a planned internet outage for Kentwood and Sunvilla as their internet pipelines are rerouted around the new Hammons Arena construction, the outage is expected to last from 11 PM to 8 AM, transfer speeds for other buildings may also be affected.

• [01-08-07] The computer registration system has been reset for the spring semester. All computers and networked devices must be registered again at this time in order to receive Internet access. Computers can be registered at the website: http://resreg.missouristate.edu.
• [12-19-06] Apple has released Security Update 2006-008 which addresses some security problems with Quicktime it may be found through "Software Update" or on Apple's webpage for this patch.
• [12-12-06] Microsoft has released several new updates to Windows XP and Office, these are highly recommended for all students, more infomation can be found at their security bulletin.
• [11-28-06] Apple has released Security Update 2006-007 which address a number of different security issues. It can be found through "Software Update" or Apple's pages for the patch (for PPC and Intel Machines).
• [09-29-06] Apple has released the update 10.4.8 for Mac OS 10.4, all students are highly recommended to upgrade to this version as it features a variety of bug fixes and security patches, more information can be found for Intel Macs or PowerPC Macs, or through the software update.

• [08-01-06] Apple has released Security Update 2006-004 for all Mac OS 10.4.7 users, it a highly recommended update for all users, more information can be found for Intel Macs or PowerPC macs, or through the software update.
• [06-27-06] Apple has released the update 10.4.7 for Mac OS 10.4, all students are highly recommended to upgrade to this version as it features a variety of bug fixes and security patches, more information can be found for Intel Macs or PowerPC Macs, or through the software update.
• [06-01-06] The registration system has been deactivated for the Summer session. It will be reactivated for Fall on August 15.
