Simplex (Single-Sided) Printing
Switching the printer to do single-sided printing is quite simple.
- In any Microsoft program (and many others), open up the print dialogue by clicking on the Office Button (when using Office 2007), or File with earlier versions of Office (and other programs), and then click on Print.
-
Make sure that your residence hall's printer is selected, then click the button for Properties.
When using other programs, you may click Advanced instead.
-
Click on the tab at the top that says Printing Shortcuts (it may already be selected).
-
Select Single-sided Printing then click OK.
-
Now you'll be able to print single-sided documents.
NOTE: This setting will be tied to just the document you are currently printing. Any other documents would still print duplex by default. And if you would like to revert it to duplex printing, you'll want to follow the first three steps and then select "General Everyday Printing".
