Setting up the built-in firewall in Windows XP

1. Start » Settings » Control Panel
   
   
2. Double click the "Windows Firewall" Icon
   
   
3. Make sure that the "On" Box is checked
   
   

Setting up the built-in firewall in Mac OS X

1. Select the Apple icon from the top left of the screen, then go to "System Preferences...".
   
   
2. Then select the "Sharing" preference pane.
   
   
3. Select the "Firewall" tab from the resulting preference pane.
   
   
4. Then click "Start" to activate the firewall.
   
   

Setting up the built-in firewall in Windows Vista

1. Open Control Panel. Start Orb » Control Panel
   
   
2. If in Category View Swith to Classic (in the left panel)
3. Find and open Windows FIrewall
   
   
4. Click Change Settings. Accpect any UAC propmt if prompted.
   
   
5. Ensure that the firewall is enbabled.
