Opening Weekend, ResReg, and Philo

Anyone familiar with the old ResReg registration system for ethernet devices should be aware that it is no longer being used. Devices with ethernet ports should be mostly "plug and play" as long as they're connected to a orange/yellow wall jack.

Incoming residents should also be aware of our new IPTV service, Philo! The coaxial cable ports in the rooms no longer supply Mediacom cable. Instead, anyone who lives on campus should have access to stream live TV on their mobile device, computer, or Roku streaming equipment. i0S and Android devices have dedicated Philo apps available in the app store. People looking to stream on a laptop or desktop can navigate to watch.philo.com and sign in with their BearPass credentials. For streaming to a TV, we recommend using an HDMI display adapter from a laptop/desktop or the Roku Ultra, as it allows for ethernet connectivity. Wireless Roku devices should work with Philo as long as they are connected to the MSU Roku network, but will be only able to stream Philo since the traffic on the MSU Roku network is restricted. Be sure to visit Philo Support or get in touch with us if you're having any issues with setup.

Finally, ResNet is open this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to help incoming residents with technology setup. Our hours will be normal 8 AM to 5 PM on Friday and 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. We will resume regular business hours next week and be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If you require assistance, check out our contact page, give us a call at 417-836-6100, or send us an email at ResNet@MissouriState.edu. We look forward to talking to you!
